For years, I dreamed about building a van and living on the road full-time… but I almost didn’t do it because I didn’t think I had the skills, tools, or knowledge to make it happen.
In this video, I’m installing side steps on the 2025 Toyota 4Runner while reflecting on everything my parents — especially my dad — have taught me over the years. From the van build to home projects to vehicle modifications, so much of the confidence I have today was learned by simply standing beside people willing to teach me.
This video is really about more than side steps. It’s about capability, learning, family, and realizing we’re often far more resourceful than we give ourselves credit for.
